Welcome to KPOG!

The Kiawah Property Owners Group (KPOG) is an independent property owners' advocacy organization formed in 1981.  KPOG tracks Island issues and keeps property owners informed about happenings that could affect the Island and their investment.

Next Meeting

The next KPOG Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 9:00 a.m. at the Sandcastle.  KPOG meetings are open to the public.

I-526 . . . The Plan and Some Alternatives

I-526 currently ends at Route 17, although the original plans call for extending the highway across the Stono River and Johns Island to the James Island Connector. The Coastal Conservation League and the Concerned Citizens of the Sea Islands recently hired Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin, traffic engineering consultants, to work with the Charleston community to develop alternatives to the plan, first drafted in the 1960s.
