FYI-Amendment Vote at KICA annual meeting

You should be receiving your 2010 packet from KICA for the March 14, 2010, annual meeting soon.

In this packet, you will find information for a ballot to vote on Proposal PV010-1: Coastal Barrier Resources System Units.

This proposal relates to potential property owner liability for infrastructure in a designated CBRS area and could have a future impact on costs to Kiawah property owners. It is important that you read and understand the effects of this amendment.

This FYI is to update you and ensure you have all the information before you cast your vote.

1. Please read all the information you receive from KICA about this proposal.

2. All Kiawah property owners were sent the current issue of KPOG TALK. Read the details and explanation of this proposal.

3. Check the KPOG website for additional information. (www.kiawah.org)

4. Contact the KPOG President, Arie deZanger (843-768-1345) or Vice- president, Laurie Burpee(843-768-3608) should you have any additional questions about this proposal.

*Cast your vote in person if you can.

*Send in your absentee ballot with your decisions indicated.

* If you decide to designate a proxy, PLEASE select one who will vote in accordance with your wishes and will be attending the meeting. Discuss your wishes with your proxy, be it neighbor, friend, etc. Let that person know how you would like him/her to vote your proxy.

Read the meeting materials carefully and be sure to fill out your proxy correctly. Make your vote count.
