Meeting Regarding Johns Island
Roads
Charleston County Roadwise has scheduled a meeting for February 20,
2008 concerning the County's update of the 2001 Cross Island Parkway
Study.
The 2001 study looked at the area bounded by Maybank Highway,
Bohicket Road and River Roads with respect to improving the flow of
traffic across Johns Island. Alternatives considered widening
Bohicket Road, widening River Road, and adding a new road between
Bohicket and River Roads from the intersection of Betsy Kerrison and
River Road to Maybank Highway.

In October of 2007, a meeting was held to obtain community input to
an update of the 2001 study.
