Calling All Kiawah Women
All
Kiawah women are invited to play or to participate in the 2005 All
Island Tournament sponsored by the Kiawah Ladies Nine Holers of the
Governor’s Club. The date of this unique tournament is April 19,
with a shotgun start at 3:00 p.m. on the Osprey Point Golf Course.
The format will be a combination of six team-play holes, then six
individual challenge holes. All proceeds from the Tournament fee of
$75 will benefit The Kiawah Conservancy. This event is being held as
a supporting event for the Kiawah Conservancy’s Bobcat Ball on April
21st.
There will also be an opportunity for non-players to participate
through their “purchase” of a spectator golf cart seat so that they
can go along and cheer on their favorite individual and team.
Another purchase of a tee box sign will allow someone to sponsor a
message of support for an individual or group.
Save the date and plan to join with Kiawah
women in support of the Conservancy. Think about forming your team
of four or “go with the flow” and let the committee place you on a
team. Practice your “pitch” and “chip” shots! Perfect your short
iron and bunker shots! Then pursue your putting and your
straightest drive skills! Consider composing a message saying thank
you or one encouraging support to put on a tee box sign. Not a
golfer? Ride a golf cart to enjoy the afternoon of lovely views and
to see the competition up close and personal.
Call Lois Bryant, 768-1812, with questions or request an invitation
if, by chance, one did not arrive in your mailbox.
