October 4th Announcement from the KPOG Board of Directors

Several candidates have filed for Kiawah Town Council and Mayor positions. Incumbent Mayor Bill Wert and incumbent Councilman Rich Bennett have filed for Mayor and incumbent Councilmen Don McIver and Steve Orban, along with Alan Burnaford, Diane Lehder, Charlie Lipuma and Ron Ritchie have filed for Town Council.

Currently, Ron Ritchie is the immediate past Co-Chairman of POPS, Charlie Lipuma is on the Planning Commission, Diane Lehder is Chairman of the Research Committee on the KPOG Board and Alan  Burnaford is Chairman of the Planning Commission and on the KPOG Board. Filings closed at noon on October 1^st and election will be held on December 7^th. We should have an interesting, spirited, and active campaign in the next two months..
