September 17th News from the KPOG Board of Directors

• Kiawah Island Golf Resort announced yesterday intentions to demolish the 150 room Kiawah Inn, beginning sometime in December. The Inn’s main building, which houses the Atlantic Room restaurant and some 4000 square feet of meeting space, will become a check-in center for KIGR operated villas. The West Beach shopping area will not be affected.

• The KPOG midyear meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 29th. The meeting will be held at the Turtle Point Conference Center and begins at 7:00PM. Speakers include Mayor Bill Wert, KICA President Marty Yonas, and Managing Director of KIGR, Prem Devadas. All KPOG members are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.

• The third in a series of articles dealing with the Utility will appear in this months edition of TALK. This issue discusses the Management Audit requested by the Public Service Commission, and its current status.
