Highlights from the KICA Board meeting of
August 25th:
-
Accepted as information, from
the Governance & Planning Committee, a covenant change to use
electronic communications in conjunction with current written
methods for future member voting requirements.
-
Unanimously approved the placement of Glick/Boehm
Architects to work with the Recreation Committee and KICA
members on structuring a renovation program for the
Sandcastle.
Jim
Piet made the following statement to the Board:
-
Decisions coming
out of the Board should be made by motion or resolution
where everyone votes. That vote should be made public and
votes should be taken in public.
- Any Board member should be able to voice an opinion. On
Town Council, everyone must vote but don't have to explain
their reasoning.
- Decisions made by the board should be published.
- The public has the right to know what decisions are
made.
