Parkway Project
Mr.
Orban stated that the Corp of Engineers permit has been approved and
construction can begin. This was the final permit needed to begin
work. Also, a minor permit amendment for work on the pathway has
been submitted.

Kiawah Island Parkway and Bike Path Project
Mr.
Orban stated that BEC has begun placing conduit, not as fast as the
Town would like and has requested that BEC speed up the work so the
Town may begin with the Parkway Project. The bridgework is tendered
to start in early July and will be done from a barge in the river
requiring partial lane closures or road stops. The Town still has
not secured a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. The Town is
currently reviewing possible landscaping choices for the project.
Landscaping will not begin until the fall.
